POSITIONING MODULAR PARTS & INSTALLING SHELVES
Beginning to feed the shelves through the modular frames.
Getting the ideal space between the two frames.
We have designed the bar to allow enough room for standard bins to be installed beneath the worktop.
Screws hold the horizontal and vertical pieces together.
"Testing" the bar top!
CREATING THE BAR TOP, EXPERIMENTING WITH LIGHTING & MATERIALS
Completed the main framework, now time to create the exterior panels and worktop!
Sanding down the bartop to guarantee a safe environment.
We sanded manually as well as mechanically!
Using smaller planks of timber we created a composition for the front face of the bar.
We also experimented with translucent acetate to add some colour into the whole bar.
Experimenting with metal, lighting and reflections!
The metal and fluorescent light tubes placed behind the composition creating a glowing effect.
Detail of the glow.
Testing if the height was suitable for the target audience.
Installing the side panels, we included a similar pattern as to the front to echo continuity.
